Vinnies Christmas Appeal is under way
THE Caloundra Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank has donated $1000 to kickstart the 2018 St Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal giving those in need something to look forward to this Christmas.
The donation will help Vinnie’s with the purchase of food items which are presented as Christmas hampers and delivered to the Caloundra elderly and needy over the coming festive season.
Caloundra Community Bank Branch chairman Colin Rose said the branch acknowledges Christmas can bring both joy and sadness for families as they come to terms with their situation.
“We have been long-time supporters of St Vincent de Paul because we see first-hand the tough times many people in our community endure either through loneliness or financial hardship.”
Collection bins for non-perishable hamper products are at the St Vincent De Paul Charity Shop (16 Mayes Avenue), Caloundra Community Bank Branch (99 Bulcock Street) and at the IGA Village Shopping Centre.
