Truly unique park misses the mark

LIGHT shows, interactive games, children’s play area, performance area seating – yes, we have it all.

But wait – there is not more.

The Master Plan clearly indicates a designated area for toilet facilities but, believe it or not, they do not exist.

Patrons are expected to use:

The library (which is locked and closed after hours)

The Civic Centre (which is not available after hours) Coolum Beach Bowls Club Clearly, Cr Steve Robinson must have noticed this omission when he attended to the official opening of the million dollar park upgrade even if he was unaware of the budget shortfall before prioritising other facilities for public entertainment.

The costly attempt of the failed installation of air-conditioning in the Civic Centre, the ducting of which was installed twice and twice removed was also part of the park upgrade and as yet non-existent.

But wait – there is still not more.

Bunnings application for development again rejected by council citing 2000 objections while Sekisui’s five star waterfront high-rise mega resort at Yaroomba Beach was approved in spite of 9000 signatures of objectors, and against the existing town plan.
