A festive spruce-up
CHRISTMAS is just around the corner and if you are like me, you will be having a few people over in the Christmas-New Year period, so I would suggest we do a few things around the house before we put the tinsel up.
Fertilise the lawn and garden so they will be nice and lush, and add some sulphate of potash to your flowering plants to boost them to their full potential.
A good lawn fertiliser will not only feed the lawn, but will feed the ground as well. Add a sprinkling of Dolomite with it to give your lawn extra hit and shine.
Next job will be to prune along the path and driveway, and then spray with some Wet and Forget mould remover over the paths and driveway and any other mouldy places where it has built up over the past few months.
Now to the weeds. Spray them or pull them out, whatever you prefer. If you are pulling them out, make sure you get the root system as well, and if you are spraying, remember to use a buffalo spray on your buffalo lawn. Adding some Spredmax to the mix will help it adhere to the leaf.
Last on my list is covering the garden beds with 50mm plus of sugar cane, lucerne, tea tree, pine chips or cyprus mulch – whatever you prefer.
Now we can sit back and watch our friends admire our garden as they arrive.
Prepare for your Christmas gardening.
