PET SUBJECT: Sunshine Coast Council has kicked off its Pet Education for Kids program, designed to help children understand how to interact with dogs safely. The free program is offered to all Sunshine Coast childcare centres, preschools and kindergartens with children aged between 3-5 years. Presented by the council’s pet education officer, with the help of trusty sidekicks, Sunny the cat and Sasha the dog, the fun and interactive presentation helps to teach children about being a responsible pet owner and how to avoid being bitten by a dog.
