2018 PHOTOKINA

As we predicted in our report on the

it was going to be a very big ask indeed to get everybody – exhibitors, media and visitors – back to Cologne in a little under eight months. The organisers have obviously come to this conclusion too, so Photokina 2019 – scheduled for early May – has been cancelled and the first of the new annual exhibitions is now set for 27 to 30 May in 2020. With Japan’s CP+ show on in early March and NAB in the USA in April, it was likely there wouldn’t have been much that was new to talk about at the 2019 Photokina (although, of course, this will still be an issue in 2020 as both earlier shows are also annual).
