Cats downed, but not out in under 17s
LOCKINGTON-BAMAWM United hosted Leitchville-Gunbower on Saturday in the second semi-final in the Heathcote District Football League under 17s.

The Cats began their campaign strong, coming out of the blocks determined, with yap around the ground and encouraging each other.
Dylan Keath’s big voice demanded the ball while Ricky Walsh showed clever footwork around the goal to put the Cats two goals in front at the end of the first quarter.
The Bombers chipped away in the second, making the contest and working hard around the middle to be six points in front going into the long break.
Nikoli Henery was impressive, with his hard work paying off, moving the ball out of danger with a huge boot onto James Gledhill, who found Presnell.
Play continued down the flank with Tom Wild taking a run, kicking to Tyler Sinclair and onto Ricky Walsh who kicked truly.
The third term saw Cal Powell and Jeremy Felmingham work tirelessly, trying to minimise the damage, with the Bombers creating space and in front by three goals going into the final term.
A final push saw the boys give a his target of Will big effort in the last, focussing and wanting the ball.
However, it wasn’t enough, with Leitchville-Gunbower winning by 12 points.
Final score: LBU 6.9 (45) lost to Leitchville-Gunbower 9.3 (57).
