LOCAL sporting groups will be thrilled to know applications for round two of the Victorian Government’s Change Our Game Community Activation Grant program is now open.

The first round of the program was a slam dunk, with 22 community sporting organisations receiving funding.

The program is designed to support initiatives that unite communities and showcase women and girls, furthering gender equality throughout the Victorian sport and active recreation sector.

Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp strongly encouraged community sporting bodies to apply.

“This program will enable local clubs to further deliver programs that will drive positive change within our community,’’ he said.

‘‘I encourage all clubs within Northern Victoria to get on board with this exciting initiative and change our game.”

Grants of up to $5000 will be available to eligible clubs and community groups across the state and will establish opportunities for women and girls at the grassroots level, enabling them to achieve their full potential both on and off the field.
