National award for Kathy
ELMORE Medical Practice has always been known for its incredible service to the community.
And now one of its own has been nationally recognised.
Kathy Tuohey, Elmore Medical Practice practice manager, recently travelled to Darwin to accept an honorary membership award to the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), for providing significant service to rural and remote medicine in the community of Elmore.
Nominated by Dr Patrick Nzegwu and Dr Juliana Quay, both GPs at Elmore Medical Practice, Kathy was incredibly humbled to receive the award.
“My passion and commitment to promoting and maintaining the health and wellbeing of my local community stems from my lifetime of having lived, worked, raised a family and been part of a close-knit community in rural Victoria,’’ she said as part of her acceptance speech.
‘‘The community have always made me feel well-accepted and respected in my position.
“Working with Elmore Medical Practice has been an incredible journey.
‘‘Every day is both inspiring and rewarding for everyone who works there.
‘‘Our goal is to ensure that we provide the best possible health outcomes for our patients.”
