Darry has tale to tell

TAK­ING her new book The Widow of Ballarat on tour, Darry Fraser will ap­pear at Rochester li­brary on Thurs­day.

With three nov­els to her name, Darry draws in­spi­ra­tion from and cap­tures the Aus­tralian land­scape through­out her writ­ing.

Her first two nov­els, Daugh­ter of the Mur­ray and Where The Mur­ray River Runs were re­leased in 2016 and 2017 re­spec­tively and drew on both our lo­cal im­agery and his­tory.

The Widow of Ballarat is a story of pas­sion, ad­ven­ture and a woman’s quest for in­de­pen­dence set against the colour­ful back­drop of 19th­cen­tury Bendigo and the gold­fields of Ballarat.

The Rochester li­brary wel­comes ev­ery­one to hear Darry speak on Thurs­day, De­cem­ber 6 at 2.30pm where The Widow of Ballarat will be for sale.
