The day will in­clude bare­foot bowls, coach­ing, sausage siz­zle, cake stalls, tea and scones, books, bric-abrac, plants and other stalls. Coach­ing will also be avail­able on the day.

Come cel­e­brate Threat­ened Species Day by vis­it­ing the City of Can­ning Com­mu­nity Art Ex­hi­bi­tion on Septem­ber 6. The art­works high­light the plight of na­tive plants, an­i­mals and nat­u­ral ar­eas.

This year there will be a flu­o­res­cent art dis­play with a fo­cus on noc­tur­nal species. DE­TAILS: The expo will be at the Can­ning River Eco Education Cen­tre on the corner of Kent Street and Queens Park Road in Wil­son.

Cost is free.

Matt Milling­ton brings his en­thu­si­asm and tal­ent to the Se­nior Cit­i­zens' Cen­tre in Coode Street. It is a small group that sings sim­ply for the plea­sure and sense of com­mu­nity it brings as they belt out tunes, old and new.
