The WA Guild of China Painters is pre­sent­ing a col­lab­o­ra­tion of porce­lain artists cap­tur­ing the di­ver­sity of the art’s tech­niques, with an ex­hi­bi­tion of new works in ul­tra modern, con­tem­po­rary and con­ven­tional styles.

The Guild, Aus­tralia’s old­est china paint­ing as­so­ci­a­tion, has been pro­mot­ing the art since 1964.

This is a great op­por­tu­nity to see some of the best porce­lain artists in Aus­tralia. DE­TAILS: Fri­day, Novem­ber 1, to Novem­ber 13. (Mon 10am to 2.30pm, Tues-fri 10am to 4pm, week­ends noon to 4pm). Vic­to­ria Park Cen­tre for the Arts, 12 Kent Street, East Vic­to­ria Park.

COMO COL­LEGE TURNS 50 Come and join in a free event with ex­hi­bi­tions of art and mem­o­ra­bilia, performanc­es and demon­stra­tions, plus food trucks and ac­tiv­i­ties for ev­ery gen­er­a­tion as Como Se­condary Col­lege cel­e­brates its 50th anniversar­y.

event sees mosques across the na­tion si­mul­ta­ne­ously open their doors for the public to come in, ex­plore, meet peo­ple in their area and ask ques­tions of com­mu­nity elders and re­li­gious lead­ers. South Perth li­braries will cel­e­brate In­ter­na­tional Games Week with a bo­nanza of free games and ac­tiv­i­ties. The ini­tia­tive is run by vol­un­teers from around the world to re­con­nect com­mu­ni­ties through their li­braries around the ed­u­ca­tional, recre­ational and so­cial value of all types of games. It doesn't mat­ter if you don't have a pug, just lov­ing pugs is the only re­quire­ment for com­ing to this event. All pugs, pug crosses and pug wannabees are wel­come but must be 14 weeks and older and vac­ci­nated. Bring a chair and pic­nic blan­ket to meet other pug lov­ing peo­ple.

There will be a fash­ion pa­rade and drinks for sale.
