SUBURBS across Perth will shift to neighbouring electorates at the next State Election following a boundary shuffle to accommodate population growth.

Changes to the boundaries for State seats were gazetted on November 27 after a review by Electoral Distribution Commissioners. The review identified the highest imbalances were in Swan Hills, Butler, Baldivis and Darling Range.

To increase numbers in Riverton, currently held by Mike Nahan, the commissioners decided to transfer part of Leeming from Jandakot, held by Yaz Mubarakai, and part of Riverton that sits in Cannington, held by Bill Johnston.

Relatively minor flow-on adjustments were proposed for the boundaries between Cannington and Victoria Park, held by Ben Wyatt, and between Victoria Park and South Perth, held by John Mcgrath.
