Canning Gazette - - NEWS -

ST John Ambulance staff and volunteers have donated more than 700 Christmas presents to disadvantaged children and young people across the state that will be distributed by Anglicare WA.

Anglicare WA chief executive Mark Glasson said the gifts would bring muchneeded cheer to countless families doing it tough.

“More and more families are struggling to make ends meet in WA and are seeking our help to keep a roof over their heads or to buy food and pay bills,” Mr Glasson said.

“These donated presents will ensure children and young people still share the joy of opening a present on Christmas morning.”

St John chief executive Michelle Fyfe said not only did St John people all over the state volunteer to provide vital community services, they were often the very same people who rallied when there was a cause or need in the community.
