Join Adam Peck from Birdlife WA for a short guided walk through the Jir­darup bush­land and learn about black cock­a­toos, con­ser­va­tion ef­forts and the Great Cocky Count com­ing up on April 5. Jir­darup is a lo­cal Abo­rig­i­nal word mean­ing place of birds and in the Jir­darup precinct more than 40 dif­fer­ent bird species can be found. At­ten­dees can also meet the amaz­ing Rex the Baudin’s black cock­a­too from Kaarakin Black Cock­a­too Con­ser­va­tion Cen­tre.
