Canning Times - - NEWS -

A MAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a hit and run accident in East Cannington last Thursday. About 9am, police were called to the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Station Street, where a beige sedan had hit a pedestrian. It appeared the 69-year-old male pedestrian was walking along the road on Elizabeth Street when he was hit by the car as it left the road. The driver of the car failed to stop and was last seen driving south along Elizabeth Street. Passers-by stopped to help the pedestrian and called St John Ambulance, who notified WA Police. The injured pedestrian was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries. Anyone with information about the crash, or beige sedan involved, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at crimestopperswa.com.au.
