Caravan & Camping with Kids

Buley Rockhole Camping Area

-

Darwin

Just an hour and a half from Darwin you can visit spring-fed waterfalls and swim in crocodile-free swimming holes at Litchfield National Park. There are heaps of bushwalking tracks and you can easily drive between the many great sightseeing spots in the park via the 39km Tabletop Track circuit. Permits are only required if the Tabletop Track is closed (eg. during the wet season). Note that firewood has to be collected from outside the camping areas and water should be boiled. Caravans are only allowed at Wangi Falls, but keep in mind there is no power. The highlight of a stay is swimming in the pools and cascades, locals reckon it’s the perfect bush escape.

Getting there

Take the signposted turn- off from Litchfield Park Rd, 42 km south-west of Batchelor towards Florence Falls, and follow it for 2.5 km.
