Less than two hours from Hobart, Lime Bay State Reserve is a beautiful seaside secret, with fine sand and incredible views. Close to the atmospheric Coal Mines Historic Site, there’s easy road access and shade, with spaces suitable for tents and campervans. Make sure to bring your own water and firewood and a fuel stove too, because total fire bans can occur without notice. Head 16km north of Premaydena towards the Coal Mines Historic Site.
