The camping with kids checklist

A tent (with all its pegs and poles) Sleeping bags, mats and pillows A torch and battery-powered lantern (with spare batteries) Sensible clothes, towels and all essential toiletries Wet-weather gear ( just in case) Sensible walking shoes and hats Day packs Water bottles and clean drinking water (or a purifier if necessary) Tea towels, toilet paper and eco-friendly detergent A dustpan and brush for sweeping out the tent Camp stove, gas and matches Food and snacks, and an esky to keep it in Pot with lid, frying pan, billy, tongs, knife and cutting board Plastic plates, mugs and cutlery A bucket and sponge for washing up Sunscreen and insect repellant A first-aid kit complete with medicines for headaches, something for upset tummies, antiseptic, ointment for stings and bites, and Band-Aids
