Total revamp at RAC Monkey Mia
There’s been a tripling of campsites at iconic RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort in WA as part of major renovations. The significant upgrade also included the introduction of new beachfront family villas, another swimming pool, new camp kitchens, a recreation room and a new reception building and general store, which also includes the Malgana Aboriginal Cultural Centre.
“We’ve undergone the most substantial upgrade to the resort since it was first opened in 1974, increasing its size from four to nine hectares,” says RAC’s Tony Pickworth. He says the $20-million redevelopment has increased capacity from 600 guests to about 1,000. parksandresorts.rac.com.au
