Dal­larnil rider eyes world cham­pi­onships

RODEO: There was no rest for Dal­larnil’s Clay­ton Carl­son as he pre­pared to fly to Amer­ica.

On Satur­day at Teebar he was placed fourth in the steer ride be­fore the fam­ily hit the road for an­other event in Rock­hamp­ton .

The Biggen­den State School stu­dent flew out of Bris­bane yes­ter­day with his dad, Tony, for 10 days of com­pe­ti­tion in the Na­tional Ju­nior High world cham­pi­onships in Huron, South Dakota.

At Teebar, Bur­nett rid­ers dom­i­nated with Mt Perry’s Peter Wal­lace win­ning the open, Biggen­den’s Sharon Lohse the maiden, and Gayn­dah’s Tea­gan Driver, the ju­nior.
