It’s beginning to look a lot like fun for families
Santa and fireworks will be a hit
THE main street of Biggenden is set to be a hive of activity on Saturday, December 22, with the staging of the Biggenden Apex Club’s Christmas Carnival.
Businesses have been invited to stay open late so residents can take the time to do some last-minute Christmas shopping during the event.
The carnival will get under way from 5pm and run until 9pm, offering an action-packed program with something for the entire family to enjoy.
Various organisations will be selling hot chips, seafood, cold drinks, glow sticks, lollies and face painting at the carnival.
There will also be a mobile gourmet coffee van and soft-serve ice creams.
Biggenden Apex Club members will be in charge of the barbecue and producing their famous hamburgers. They will also have ham and seafood lucky wheel and raffles.
There will be market stalls offering a variety of gifts and craft for last-minute Christmas gifts. Anyone wanting to have a stall can contact Robbie Radel on 4127 1774.
For the children, as well as the face painting there will be a variety of rides and slides which will be in the area in front of the railway yards entrance.
The club’s special guest – Santa Claus – will arrive with bags of lollies for the children.
The night skies will light up with a fireworks display, thanks to sponsorship by Ergon and Bendigo Community Bank.
