THE Mundubbera Community Gym is receiving a “much-needed facelift” and will be closed until next Monday, September 9.

“Council strives to provide high-quality facilities for our residents and apologises for any inconvenience to patrons during this time” Deputy Mayor Faye Whelan said.

A North Burnett Regional Council media release said the gym was being repainted to “bring the interior ... to life”.

“Due to equipment needing to be moved while painting is undertaken, the facility will not be able to be utilised during this time for safety reasons,” it said.

You can still exercise in the undercover area, but will need to arrange access to equipment with council staff.

For more information about accessing the undercover area, call the council’s community engagement manager on 0400 787 072 or the council on 1300 696 272.

Next Monday, the council’s new sport and recreation officer Sally Galloway will start her role, working closely with the community gyms in Mundubbera and Eidsvold.
