Enjoy the positives throughout the Burnett

Central and North Burnett Times - - OPINION - SAM TURNER

WHAT a weekend that was!

On Sunday, January 26, Australians across the nation headed out to their town swimming pools, parks and pubs for one of the best days on our calendar.

In the North Burnett, we were also able to celebrate the achievements of some great people in our region.

Not only that, we welcomed numerous Australian citizens to the greatest country on Earth.

Turning to this weekend, meetings are being held in Monto and Gayndah for their $100,000 makeover.

Meanwhile, the Mundubbera seven-a-side carnival will give us ample opportunity to unwind, and celebrate everything great about our country.

It’s important to make sure we don’t get bogged down in the negative events happening in our society.

We need to celebrate achievements and victories, whenever we can.

Positive events give us time to reflect, and congratulate our mates, and ourselves as we look forward to future endeavours.

So, if you’re out and about in the North Burnett this week, take some time to relish in the great things happening across the region in 2020.
