Biggenden hosts ag forum at the Grand
IF YOU’RE keen to stay in the know about anything related to the agriculture industry, then this forum is a must attend for you.
BIEDO will be hosting its Ag Network Forum at the Biggenden Grand Hotel on February 6.
BIEDO’s ag network extension officer Sarah Shaw said this meeting would give the region’s farmers a chance to ask any question about recent regulations.
“We’ve got representatives from the Department of Environment and Science coming along to update us on the new reef regulations that were implemented at the end of last year,” Ms Shaw said.
“The aim of the forum is to provide practical information to farmers so they know what they have to do to comply with the reef regulations.”
Held quarterly throughout the year, both the North and South Burnett forums aim to discuss a variety of different topics that relate to farmers.
“We sometimes discuss topics that farmers suggest they want to hear about, or it can be topical things in the news at the moment,” Ms Shaw said.
The free forum will run from 3—4pm, and question time will be held at the end.
