Have a say on Monto’s makeover

IF YOU want to have some in­put re­gard­ing Monto’s Ru­ral Aid Makeover, you will have am­ple op­por­tu­nity today and tomorrow.

Four events across the two days will al­low res­i­dents in Monto and sur­rounds a chance to voice their opin­ions.

Monto has been cho­sen as one of 10 towns in Aus­tralia to re­ceive a $100,000 makeover to re­vi­talise the area.

Small-town spe­cial­ist Peter Kenyon and his team will host sev­eral small-group con­ver­sa­tions today at the Monto rail­way sta­tion from 1-2.30pm.

From 6-9pm, the whole com­mu­nity is in­vited to at­tend a plan­ning event at the Monto Show Pavilion.

As well, a busi­ness break­fast will be held tomorrow morn­ing at Cafe De­li­cious from 7.15am-8.30am.

Mr Kenyon will give an in­for­ma­tive talk on how to keep the tills open dur­ing tough times.

The events will fin­ish up with an open fo­rum at 11am tomorrow at the Cul­tural Com­plex.
