30: Monto Com­mu­nity Plan­ning event for Ru­ral Aid

HELD at the Monto Show Pavilion, come and share, talk, and co-cre­ate an ac­tion plan for the town’s makeover. Runs from 6–9pm.

31: Monto Ru­ral Aid Busi­ness and Com­mu­nity Break­fast

FROM 7.15–8.30am at Cafe De­li­cious, Peter Kenyon will give an in­for­ma­tive talk on ‘how to keep the tills ring­ing in tough times’.

31: Monto Open Fo­rum for Ru­ral Aid

HELD at the Cul­tural Com­plex, come have a say in Monto’s $100,000 Ru­ral Aid makeover. Starts at 11am.

1: Gayn­dah Ru­ral Aid Com­mu­nity Plan­ning Bar­be­cue

COME down to the Gayn­dah show­grounds to have your say in the $100,000 Ru­ral Aid makeover. Please book your seats by phon­ing John Zahl on 0458 625 005 or Jo Dowl­ing on 0407 164 468. Starts at 6.30pm.

1-2: Mun­dub­bera 7-a-side cricket car­ni­val

SATUR­DAY night will see the foot races, cal­cutta, and toad races be­ing run at the com­mu­nity cen­tre. Sun­day will see teams from across the state bat­tle it out at Archer Park and Scam­pers Grounds. Food and re­fresh­ments avail­able at the grounds.

4-6: Nav­i­gat­ing Tough Times Work­shop

PART of the North Bur­nett sui­cide pre­ven­tion trial which runs un­til mid-2020. Free work­shops for farm­ers, com­mu­nity mem­bers, ser­vice providers and agri­cul­tural in­dus­try rep­re­sen­ta­tives.

6: Grant-writ­ing work­shops

HOSTED by the Bur­nett Mary Re­gional Group, these work­shops will be held at the North Bur­nett Com­mu­nity Cen­tre at 69 Stu­art Rus­sel St, Mun­dub­bera. Land­care, com­mu­nity and not-for-profit groups, and those seek­ing drought sub­si­dies are en­cour­aged to at­tend. Lessons in how to find and se­cure grants, what fund­ing bod­ies are look­ing for, and stepby-step pro­cesses. RSVP by
