Free goods on offer at Life Care
THE team at the Life Care Mundubbera Food Pantry will welcome Burnett residents to its first Free Clothes Day for the year this weekend.
The event will start at 8am on Saturday at the Food Pantry premises on Stuart Russell St, where items including clothes, linen and toys will be available for free to anyone in need.
Many of the items on offer were donated by businesses and residents.
Event organiser Allan Cowburn said the event provided a great opportunity for residents.
“The event is for anyone and everyone,” he said.
“It doesn’t matter if you drive a Mercedes-Benz or if you are living on the street.”
The team will sell hot food on the day, serve barista-made coffee to visitors and will also be open for general business.
Saturday’s Free Clothes Day will be the second one of its kind for Life Care, which borrowed the idea from a popular Monogorilby event.
The Life Care team has stated that further events of this kind were planned throughout the year, and the organisation asked residents to continue donating clean old clothes in good condition for future events.
READY TO GO: Most of the clothes were donated by businesses and residents.
