CR PAYNE READY FOR NEW ROLES

NEWLY-ELECTED Di­vi­sion 3 Coun­cil­lor Su­san Payne has been ap­pointed two vi­tal roles in her first term in of­fice.

April’s meet­ing for the North Bur­nett Re­gional Coun­cil de­ter­mined who would take up the role of rep­re­sen­ta­tive to two im­por­tant work­ing groups in the re­gion.

The Mun­dub­bera Jandowae Roads Work­ing Group, es­tab­lished in 2017, was cre­ated to pro­vide lead­er­ship to en­sure the road net­work be­tween Mun­dub­bera and Jandowae was the pre­ferred route of travel for trade, tourism, and more.

Af­ter a vote was held, Cr Payne was se­lected as the lead rep­re­sen­ta­tive, and coun­cil­lor Melinda Jones was se­lected as her proxy.

A fur­ther vote was held to se­lect a rep­re­sen­ta­tive to the Wa­ter Sup­ply Re­quire­ments in the North and South Bur­nett work­ing group.

The rep­re­sen­ta­tive will col­lab­o­rate with key stake­hold­ers in the re­gion.

Cr Payne was ap­pointed to this role, with deputy mayor Rob­bie Radel se­lected as her proxy.
