Celebrate the years we’ve had together

Central and North Burnett Times - - NEWS - sam.turner@news.com.au SAM TURNER

AS YOU all may have already read, News Corp has decided to cease publication of dozens of regional papers across Australia.

The move comes amid the unprecedented economic impact the coronavirus has had on our nation.

I’ve been a part of this region’s paper for nearly 12 months now, and I’ve seen how much it means to those in the community.

This masthead has been telling your stories for decades, and has been keeping the North Burnett informed on breaking news, business yarns, and sporting achievements.

Even though our print version may be gone, I’ll still be here, telling your stories online, in the digital realm.

Rather than dwelling on things that are out of our control, I’m going to make everyone a promise.

This is one of the last four editions the Central and North Burnett Times will release, and I’m going to make sure they’re the best we’ve ever printed.

If you have any stories, or profiles of those in the community who deserved to have their story told, please reach out.

Let’s celebrate the years we’ve had together, and give the paper the proper send off it deserves.
