Theft leads to drug find

A STOLEN iPad and dan­ger­ous drugs were in­volved in crimes in the Biggen­den district last week.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing into an in­ci­dent of un­law­ful en­try in the Biggen­den FoodWorks carpark on June 9.

About 11.30am a per­son left their car parked for sev­eral min­utes out­side the su­per­mar­ket, and re­turned to find their iPad had been stolen from their ve­hi­cle.

Po­lice ex­e­cuted a search war­rant on a prop­erty in Dal­larnil, near Queen St, the fol­low­ing day, where they found a quan­tity of mar­i­juana.

A Queensland Po­lice Ser­vice spokes­woman said a 67year-old Dal­larnil man was charged with pro­duc­ing and pos­sess­ing dan­ger­ous drugs, and pos­sess­ing drug uten­sils.

He was given a no­tice to ap­pear in Maryboroug­h Mag­is­trates Court.
