Cane crushed

This week: 92,141. Sea­son to date 240,232. Av­er­age bin weight

This week: 9.29.

To date: 9.25.

To date: 13.32. Com­ments:

Fac­tory through­put ex­ceeded bud­get once again, with 92,141 tonnes crushed for the week.

All sec­tors of the in­dus­try are achiev­ing good op­er­a­tional per­for­mance and re­sults.

Av­er­age weekly CCS was higher than bud­get but due to some wet con­di­tions de­creased by 0.08 of a unit on last week.

Sea­son to date CCS climbed to 13.32.

Weather con­di­tions caused some mi­nor de­lays for har­vesters dur­ing the week.


Weekly Crush Fig­ures FAR­LEIGH 68,905. Mar­ian 87,704. Race­course 58,714. To­tal tonnes 215,323. To­tal to date 1,048,999. PRS week 12.57. PRS year to date 11.69.

Cane crushed

This week: 56,819. Sea­son to date: 169,520. Av­er­age bin weight

This week: 3.94.

To date: 3.94.


This week: 12.97. To date: 12.55. Com­ments:

Through­put for the week was above bud­get.

The fac­tory gen­er­ally crushed well, although an un­planned stop was re­quired on Fri­day to re­pair a leak in the se­condary mixed juice tank.

CCS is con­tin­u­ing to in­crease as dry con­di­tions pre­vail.

The av­er­age bin weight re­mains high at 3.94 tonnes.


MSF SU­GAR’S Mary­bor­ough Mill was im­pacted by har­vest­ing de­lays due to wet weather in the re­gion.

To date, the mill has crushed 90,970 tonnes with a sea­son to date CCS of 11.98.

Crop - Sea­son Es­ti­mates – tonnes: 940,000.

Cane Crushed - This week Tonnes Crushed: 35,415. Cane Crushed – Sea­son to Date

Tonnes Crushed: 90,970. Per­cent­age Crushed: 9.7 per cent.

CCS in Cane: For Week: 11.59. Sea­son to Date: 11.98.


WEEK End­ing June 30, 2018.

Crushed for Week: 34,683.40.

Crushed for Sea­son: 70,574.95.

Weekly CCS Av­er­age: 12.46.

Sea­son CCS Av­er­age: 12.57.

High­est In­di­vid­ual CCS for Week: KQ228 1ST RAT – 15.70 CCS.

High­est Va­ri­ety Av­er­age CCS: Q252 – 13.22 CCS.

Base CCS for both mill ar­eas: MQN - 13.30. Com­ments:

The week end­ing 30 June saw 34,683.40 tonnes pro­cessed at Mil­laquin with a CCS av­er­age of 12.46 units, bring­ing the to­tal tonnes pro­cessed for the sea­son to date to 70,574.95.

The high­est in­di­vid­ual CCS for the pe­riod was 15.70 units for KQ228 first ra­toon.

With the 2018 cane crush­ing sea­son un­der way at all mills it is a timely re­minder to all to stay safe around cane trains.


CRUSH­ING NUM­BERS: Fac­tory through­put ex­ceeded bud­get in Proserpine, wet weather caused some de­lays for har­vesters.
