Jeff a wealth of knowledge

Central and North Rural Weekly - - OPINION -

JEFF Frank has a cool half-a-century of experience when it comes to breeding brangus cattle.

In his 50 years in the industry, the Monto man from Punchagin Brangus, has watched the breed continue to develop.

“It’s good to see the breed increasing in numbers,” he said.

“In the ’70s and ’80s it was a struggle to get a market for our cattle.

“It has certainly changed in the last 20 years.”

Mr Frank will take six bulls to the Roma sale, and will also take cattle to the next national brangus sale in Rockhampton.

“When you don’t breed a lot of bulls, it’s good to have multi-vendor sales to promote your studs,” he said.
