NEED to find out about groundwater data in 2018?

A new version of the Bureau of Meteorology’s National Groundwater Information System (NGIS) database is now available, following assistance from lead water agencies in each state and territory.

The updated NGIS contains bore and bore log data for more than 880,000 bores across Australia, with updated groundwater management areas dataset.

NGIS data can be viewed through the Australian Groundwater Explorer, as well as groundwater level and salinity data across the nation by using the interactive application. Data is available as tables and graphs, and the hydrographs also include rainfall trends and long-term averages.

The groundwater level and salinity datasets are current to July 2018 for some sites.
