Precise data gives the insight you need
DTN has launched Spray Outlook – a ground-breaking advancement in agricultural operations, previously not available.
This new technology is empowering agricultural producers to make effective planning and scheduling decisions for chemical crop spraying. Through accurate wind and rain forecasts, this new feature of DTN’s exclusive WeatherSentry technology is providing operators with precise insights necessary to maximise production and efficiency.
With DTN’s WeatherSentry Spray Outlook, farmers no longer have to spray twice due to rain directly after or spraying in highly windy conditions.
Knowing the right conditions also avoids cross contamination.
Both Delta-T and inversion risk are factored into DTN’s comprehensive assessment of future spraying conditions, providing a competitive advantage for users of Spray Outlook.
With 20 per cent more accurate forecasts than those made without the input of local real-time weather data, WeatherSentry Global Agricultural Edition extends DTN’s capabilities, to give farmers greater control over factors influenced by the environment such as yield, pest development and operational planning.
To ensure reliability, timeliness and accuracy, WeatherSentry summarises hourly, daily and monthly weather conditions. This allows producers to aggregate information relevant to their crops while avoiding the financial implications of rain fast periods and crop contamination. There is only a small recurring charge for WeatherSentry, after the one-time purchase of DTN’s Agricultural Weather Station hardware.
