Annastacia Palaszczuk has urged travellers to take advantage of Queensland Rail’s special “2 for 1” deal on the Spirit of the Outback, The Inlander and The Westlander, which has returned this summer.

The Premier said the offer provided the perfect opportunity for families to explore western Queensland during the school holidays.

“The iconic Queensland outback is a must see for any traveller, domestic or international, but numbers usually dip in the warmer months,” she said.

“We’ve declared 2019 The Year of Outback Tourism to support outback communities when they need it most, and Queensland Rail is backing the fantastic initiative by helping to get people to the west for less this summer.

“These discounted fares are yet another reason to travel (inland).”
