It’s a good idea to in­stall ceil­ing fans in your liv­ing room, din­ing room and each bed­room, as they are much cheaper to run than air con­di­tion­ers.

Ac­cord­ing to AGL En­ergy, fans cost be­tween $8 and $15 per year to run, while ducted re­verse-cy­cle cool­ing sys­tems cost from $75 to $120 per year.
