CENTRAL Highlands shooters have welcomed a new supply shop offering the best of the best. The Outpost has recently opened on Clermont St, Emerald, offering both firearms and hunting equipment.

General manager Nathan Armstrong, who grew up on a farm southeast of Emerald, said he was excited to be back “home”.

“Given that our family is still farming in the area, it feels like a homecoming of sorts, to be back in the Central Highlands region.”

He said the store would offer a broad range of products to suit all budgets.

“We’re also focused on offering the best quality hunting and outdoor gear we can find, that’s why we have brands like YETI and Five Eleven Tactical,” Mr Armstrong said.

He said the store was born out of a genuine passion for shooting and hunting by two country boys turned tradies from Central Queensland, and in 2016 the concept started to take shape, followed by the opening of the Rockhampton store in 2017.

“We’ve always kept our core focus on providing a genuinely personalised customer experience for everyone that comes through our doors,” Mr Armstrong said.

“Each of our staff members are passionate shooters in their own specialised fields and they love engaging with like-minded customers every day.”

The Emerald store is open Monday–Saturday. For opening hours and more information, visit theout
