AN INCREASED yarding of 2579 head were presented at the Emerald Sale, up 443 head on last sale.
Yearling steers to processors topped at 303c. Averages for the heavy yearling steers were from 285–295c, while light weights sold from 255–269c/kg.
Yearling heifers sold to reduced prices, with the best to feed making 283c as the light plain types averaged from 219–232c/kg.
Processors paid to 307c for four score bullocks, which averaged 297c/kg.
A light yarding of grown heifers reached 263c, averaging 258c/kg.
Prime heavy cows sold to 248c to average 242c/kg. Heavy bulls averaged 250c/kg.
