Bright future funded
THREE local organisations have been awarded funding through Arrow Energy’s Brighter Futures community investment program.
Isaac Region’s 145 Army Cadet Unit has received a portable defibrillator, as well as training sessions on its use from Arrow’s company nurse.
Paul Cliffe, 145 Army Cadet Unit Parent Support Group Vice President, said the defibrillator would help provide a safe environment for the unit’s officers, cadets, volunteer helpers and community members.
“Cadets are in the field at least four times a year, often in remote areas,” he said.
Funding was also awarded to Rock FM Association Inc., Moranbah and Yumba Bimbi Support Services, Emerald.
