Artists in force for Brigalow exhibition

Central Telegraph - - LIFE | MY TOWN - BILOELA ALAN McTAGGART P: 0418 195 503 E: alndesmct@bigpond.com

ONLY a week until the annual Brigalow Arts Festival opens on Friday, October 12, in the Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery.

Despite the dry times on the land, the regional artists have worked hard to list an impressive number of works to be judged.

They may be overcome in the numbers game by the school entries and the interest shown by the younger generation bodes well for the years ahead.

Biloela is such a busy community that there is always a high likelihood of events clashing and Brigalow is no exception to this rule. Come along next Friday, October 12, at 5.30pm to enjoy the view and the 6pm start to the official program will ensure we are completed by 6.45pm.

Then there is still time to move on to your other event and make this Friday night one to remember.

If you prefer to stay a while, you will be able to listen to Dell and Annette or Allan and Fiona as you browse the walls and invigorate your cultural instincts.

Brigalow Festival opens next Friday but stays open for a month so there is time for everybody to enjoy it.
