THE Biloela community has shared its Christmas blessings this year by supporting the Anglicare CQ 2018 Christmas Adopt-A-Family Appeal.

Families and individuals who face serious financial hardship or social dislocation, often through no fault of their own, are nominated by local charities.

This year has been a difficult year for many Banana Shire residents, with more families than usual facing a tough Christmas.

Anglicare CQ centre manager Deborah Vonhoff said the response by Biloela had been great but there were still some adoptions yet to finalise.

“It has been a really good response to the Adopt-A-Family Appeal and thank you to everyone who has supported it,” Deborah said.

“There are still about five families or individuals left to adopt for Christmas and if anyone can come forward to help would be great.

“The generosity and kindness when adopting through this appeal will provide joy to those who are finding it hard to make ends meet this Christmas.”

Deborah said Anglicare CQ would continue to bring Christmas festive joy and spirit to those in need of it.

Twenty-four families or individuals have been adopted in this year’s Adopt-A-Family. If anyone would like to help, phone Anglicare CQ on 4992 2421.
