Come and Join the Fengdu Temple Fair Celebratio­ns

Located in the beautiful Three Gorges Reservoir Area on the Yangtze River, Fengdu County of Chongqing is traditiona­lly known as Ghost City.

The Fengdu Temple Fair has been held for more than 1,900 years. In 2014, the Fengdu Temple Fair was added to the national intangible cultural heritage catalogue by the State Council.

The 2019 temple fair will be held in Fengdu County from April 5 to 14. Tourists will savor a dazzling array of local cultural, tourist, commercial, and religious activities, such as the “Floats Parade,” “Night Tour of the Ghost City,” “Exhibition of Intangible Cultural Heritage,” and “Sacrificia­l Rituals in Religious Pilgrimage­s.”

Fengdu is 100 minutes’ drive from Chongqing Jiangbei Airport, while a bullet train ride takes only 50 minutes from downtown Chongqing to Fengdu.
