From Agrarian China to Urbanized China

When China kicked off reform and opening-up at the end of the 1970s, its urbanization rate was below 20 percent.

The figure rose steadily over the following decades, topping 60 percent by the end of 2020.

It is predicted to climb further to 65 percent during the 2021-2025 period.
