Photo Exhibition on Chinese Ethnic Costumes Opens in Bulgaria

A photo exhibition on Chinese ethnic costumes opened in front of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, the Bulgarian capital, on October 30.

The three-week exhibition, titled “Splendid Costumes of Chinese Ethnic Groups” sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria, organized by the Sofia Municipality and art association Dolphin, features 58 photos.

Through colorful and magnificent costumes, the photos present spectacular historical changes and cultural evolution of the Chinese nation, as well as its solidarity, unity, beauty, and harmony.

Clothing is not only an element of human life, but also an important carrier of national culture, which embodies the customs and aesthetic sense of different ethnic groups, the organizers said.
