Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games
On July 31, 2015, Beijing won the bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics at the 128th session of the International Olympic Committee in Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia, making the Chinese capital the first city in the world to stage both the summer and winter editions of the Games.
The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics (the XXIV Olympic Winter Games) is scheduled to be held from February 4 to 20, 2022, in China’s capital, Beijing, and the Paralympic Winter Games will be held from March 4 to 13, 2022.
The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics features 109 events in more than 15 disciplines across seven sports. The Paralympics comprises 78 different events across six sports in two disciplines. All the events will be held in three competition clusters in downtown Beijing, Yanqing District, and Zhangjiakou.
