Per Capita GDP Exceeds RMB 80,000

China’s 14th Five-year Plan is off to a good start as the country keeps leading the world economically and improving its people’s well-being in the face of great changes in the world, according to the 2021 Statistical Communique on National Economic and Social Development released by the National Bureau of Statistics.

According to the communique, in 2021, China’s economy reached RMB 114.4 trillion in size, with its per capita GDP exceeding RMB 80,000, making it the world’s second largest economy.
