Major water conservancy projects have long industrial chains, demand large amounts of investment, and can create a large number of jobs. It is estimated that every RMB 100 billion invested in major water conservancy projects can boost GDP growth by 0.15 percentage points and create 490,000 new jobs, playing an important role in promoting steady economic growth.
