China Has World’s Largest Higher Education System

Over the past 10 years, Chinese youth have enjoyed wider access to higher education. China has built the world’s largest higher education system, with the population who have received and are receiving higher education reaching 240 million.

In 2022, the Chinese government budgeted over RMB 68.8 billion for student aid and subsidies, which are used to implement the state aid policy for regular senior high schools, secondary vocational education, and higher education.
