The presenter Beijing Symphony Orchestra, founded in October 1977, is one of the most influential orchestras in China, winning worldwide acclaim for its high professional standards, rigorous performance techniques, broad repertoire, and profound musical accomplishments. Tan Lihua is a famous Chinese conductor active in the international and domestic music scene. He has conducted dozens of outstanding international orchestras on invitation including the Russian National Orchestra and London Philharmonic Orchestra. He has been honored by the Western media as “a conductor with an elegant and fluent conducting style.”
