School trainee set to learn the ropes

RAPAD Em­ploy­ment Ser­vices Queens­land (RESQ) has wel­comed the op­por­tu­nity to be the host em­ployer of Charleville State High School stu­dent Sharni Isla.

Re­gional RESQ man­ager Emma Lis­ton said the busi­ness was for­tu­nate to host this trainee­ship in Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion Cer­tifi­cate III, with the sup­port of Golden West Ap­pren­tice­ships and Rapad Skilling.

“RESQ will... act as a role model to men­tor our new trainee Sharni by pro­vid­ing an ef­fec­tive work­place with learn­ing and guid­ance out­comes,” she said.

RESQ has also re­cently cre­ated a Com­mu­nity De­vel­op­ment Pro­gram (CDP) in which par­tic­i­pants can de­velop their skills in de­sign­ing, gath­er­ing ma­te­ri­als and cre­at­ing projects made from wood.
